Lake Keowee is a man-made reservoir located in Upstate South Carolina, developed beginning in 1971 to serve the needs of Duke Energy and for public recreation. The Lake is approximately 26 miles long, 3 miles wide, with an average depth of 54 feet, and a shoreline measured at 300 miles in total, and is approximately 800 feet above sea level.
